More than 100 years in Santa Margherita Ligure


Our hotel represents the tradition of hospitality in Santa Margherita Ligure since 1910. More than a century of passion that the Hotel Regina Elena in Santa Margherita Ligure celebrates with an exhibition in the antique hall of the hotel, where the wood flooring is still the same with the intact decor. The intercom's buttons dated 1910 for the room service, the tea cups and the silverware of the '30s, the sugar bowl from the '50s. The introduction of running water around the '20s and the Touring Guide in 1932, that represents Santa Margherita Ligure between the life of the village and the business intuition.  

Pieces of life and history recomposed by Ciana family in the antique hall. At the beginning there was Gaudenzio Ciana, hotelier at Lake Orta, that in 1897 arrived at Santa Margherita Ligure and he bought the Hotel Metropole, while his son Alberto built the Continentale. And it was Alberto that bought the Hotel Regina Elena in 1910. 

With the hotels of the high season that went from April to November and the "moderate rates" of Regina Elena: 35-45 liras in July and August and 40-45 in April. The leaflet of the '39 of the Autonomous Turism Company, with the Imperiale that made 90 liras for full board against the 65 liras of the Regina Elena.
